Powerful multifunctional tachometer suitable for integrating into a motorcycle’s dashboard or constructing your own DIY device. It can be used as a simple revolution counter, but also in addition to a factory-mounted revcounter as a warning before revlimiter like in Triumph Speed Triple (including flashlight when close to the limiter). There is also another output to use the device as a so-called “shift-light” – it will flash when a certain revs were reached. Moreover it can be used as RGB LED controller that causes smooth color changes depending on RPM.

USAGE

POSSIBLE FUNCTIONS

REVCOUNTER

3 to 7 LEDs can be connected and activated as a dot or bar mode tachometer measuring between minimal and maximal set RPMs.
Revs when all LEDs will start flashing can be set.
Revs when Shift Light connected to its own 12V output will start flashing can be set.

SHIFT INDICATOR

By setting the minimum RPM to a range about 2/3 of the maximum revs, you will get an shift indicator telling you that the engine is close to maximal speed. This can be combined with flashing in the highest RPM. For example, this feature is used in stock speedometer of Triumph Speed Triple - see this short video on YouTube.

SHIFT LIGHT

Flashing of all LEDs or only a connected Shift Light can be set at any RPM from 400 to 29 900 with 100 RPM steps.

DRIVING MULTICOLOR LED WITH ENGINE SPEED

Device can drive multicolor LEDs according to RPM of the engine.

for sensor (included) that measures amount of light in environment and controls brightness of LEDs according to the actual lightning conditions. (It is possible to turn this feature off.)
