Yamaha Tenere 700 Headlight Interface Module - Gen. 2
New generation – redesigned for reliability
The Yamaha Tenere 700 Headlight Interface Module has been completely redesigned for improved long-term reliability and durability.
The latest generation features a new PCB design, significantly more powerful output transistors with a large safety margin, additional overvoltage protection and a fully epoxy-potted enclosure for improved resistance against vibration, moisture and harsh motorcycle operating conditions.
This is not just a minor revision – it is a substantially upgraded hardware generation designed specifically for demanding long-term use on the motorcycle.
How does it work
The Yamaha Tenere 700 Headlight Interface Module allows you to replace the original headlight with an aftermarket one while keeping the motorcycle's original headlight connector.
The module interprets the original motorcycle signals and provides dedicated power outputs for the low beam, high beam and parking light. From the motorcycle's point of view, the original headlight remains correctly connected, so no modifications to the factory wiring harness are required.
The interface plugs directly into the original Tenere 700 headlight socket, making the installation fully reversible.
Compatible with all Yamaha Tenere 700 models, including 2025+.
- Two headlight connector versions are available:
- 6-pin – all black & white dashboard models and 2025+ models (BAG9 model code)
- 4-pin – color dashboard models except 2025+
Functions
The module provides separate power outputs for:
- Low beam
- High beam
- Parking light
Output currents
Maximum allowed current for each output:
- 10 A (approx. 130 W) – low beam
- 10 A (approx. 130 W) – high beam
- 3 A (approx. 40 W) – parking light
Important: The total combined current of all active outputs (low beam + high beam + parking light) must not exceed 10 A.
This limit is determined by the motorcycle's original wiring and fuse rating. If your lighting setup requires more than 10 A in total, an external relay and a separate fused power supply directly from the battery must be used.

Electronics Upgrades for Adventure Motorcycles
Adventure motorcycles are equipped with advanced electronic systems such as ABS, traction control and ride-by-wire throttles. While these systems improve safety on the road, they can sometimes limit riding performance in off-road conditions.
LSK Electronics develops smart motorcycle electronic modules that give riders faster and more convenient control over these systems. Our plug-and-play upgrades allow riders to adapt their motorcycle electronics to adventure and off-road riding without permanent modifications.
Our products are designed for motorcycles such as Yamaha Tenere 700, Honda CRF1100 Africa Twin and Honda XL750 Transalp.
